Health is an important part of the direction of our breeding program. We currently utilize genetic screening and are continuing to expand our health-testing program, including completing breed-appropriate OFA evaluations as our dogs reach the appropriate stages. Our goal is to use health information alongside temperament, structure, and pedigree when making future breeding decisions.

Our health guarantee
Every Briwder Kennels puppy goes home with age-appropriate veterinary care, vaccinations, deworming, and health records. We also provide a genetic health guarantee, as outlined in each buyer’s contract, through the dog’s second birthday.
The goal is simple: to give families added confidence that we stand behind the puppies we produce and are committed to their long-term health.
The first eight weeks
From birth until 8 weeks, puppies receive careful nurturing to encourage strong development.
Our puppies are raised with our family and receive daily hands-on interaction from birth. We incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI), along with age-appropriate exposure to household sounds, different surfaces, handling, play, and new experiences.
Our goal during those first eight weeks is to help each puppy build confidence, adaptability, and a strong foundation before transitioning into their new home.

By go-home day
By go-home day, each puppy has received age-appropriate veterinary care, vaccinations, deworming, a health evaluation, and health records. We also provide regular handling, socialization, enrichment, exposure to new sights, sounds, and surfaces, and early introduction to routines that help make the transition into a new home easier.
Our goal is to send each puppy home healthy, confident, well-socialized, and as prepared as possible for the next stage of life with their family.
